Beyond the Bays Tourism is a not-for-profit association dedicated to supporting tourism businesses across the Hinterland and Western Port regions.

Beyond the Bays Tourism was created in late 2024 from a merger between the well-established Mornington Peninsula Hinterland and Western Port Tourism associations. Together, the two Mornington Peninsula tourism precincts of the Hinterland and Western Port make up the greater geographic area of the Mornington Peninsula.
HINTERLAND
When some think of the Mornington Peninsula, bustling bays and seaside activities spring to mind, yet the Hinterland region, mostly nestled in the hills, is known for localities such as Red Hill and Arthurs Seat but also sprawls from non-coastal parts of Mornington across to Moorooduc and down to Main Ridge whilst taking in the inland industrial areas of Dromana and more.
Very popular with Mebourne visitors, the hilly Hinterland area offers a medley of experiences as varied as the landscapes it boasts – wineries, dining, breweries, artisan produce and boutique accommodation all dotted throughout.
In addition, the region hosts a range of unique tourism attractions including mazes, markets, adventure discovery parks, pick-your-own produce experiences, galleries, specialty shopping and more.

WESTERN PORT
Western Port, on the eastern side of the Mornington Peninsula, ranges from Pearcedale through to Cape Schanck, touring past Hastings, Balnarring, Shoreham, Flinders and more. Neighbouring French Island is also a part of the relatively undiscovered region.
Less than one hour from Melbourne’s CBD, Western Port truly offers something for all with its Southern Ocean coastline and gentle hills being home to a multitude of attractions, natural and man-made throughout.
A variety of established townships, villages and industrial areas, now also dotted with consumer-facing offerings, complement the amazing harbour that offers a variety of fishing, boating and other water activities.
